| Vancouver, British Columbia: Stikine Gold Corporation (TSX.V: SKY) ("Stikine" or the "Company") has commenced a field program to extract a number of individual samples totaling approximately 500 tonnes of quartz-pure arenite rocks from its Nonda Project. The Nonda -- Ghost Ridge property is located 150 km west of the Horn River Basin ("HRB") shale gas field in northeast British Columbia. Pilot-scale process testing will commence as soon as possible, to help define operating parameters, yield and capital/operating costs for the Nonda Frac Sand project. Nonda +40-70 and 100 mesh processed sand samples have demonstrated high quality by API/ISO proppant testing methods and high yields from lab-scale process trials.
